A-Frame Nest is a timber cabin for two near Nanyuki, with a full glass wall facing Mount Kenya. You fall asleep under the stars and wake to the mountain. Outside there is a roofed kitchen, a fire pit and a hot shower open to the bush.
Why it's on Weaver
The A-Frame is one room and one very large window. Cook something simple, sit by the fire until it gets cold, then watch the stars through the glass from bed. It is a place built for doing very little, very well.

Directions
One room, one window
The whole front wall is glass, so the mountain is there when you wake. The kitchen is outdoors under its own roof, the table sits under cover, and the front terrace has a fire pit and a BBQ. It is built for two people who want to cook something simple, sit outside for a long time and go nowhere in particular.
The garden
When you want more than the terrace, the rest of Kilima Gardens is a short walk away, shared with the other cabins: a saltwater pool open all year, a wood-fired sauna with a glass roof and a cold plunge pool, and a hammock treehouse for sundowners. When you don't, the mountain is enough.

- Pets are welcome with advance notice, on a leash around the free-roaming farm animals, and not on the furniture.

Good to know
- The kitchen is outdoors. It is roofed and part of the pleasure, but evenings are cool, so bring a layer.
- Mount Kenya usually clouds over in the middle of the day and clears at dawn and dusk. The early alarm is worth it.
- A travel cot and extra mattresses are available on request, but this is a cabin built for two.
- Self-catered. Nanyuki is twenty minutes away for groceries, and the team can source fruit, vegetables, milk and eggs with notice.
- The pool, sauna and treehouse are shared with other guests at Kilima Gardens.
- About three hours from Nairobi by road.
